I moved into corporate world in 2005.
Fresh from working in hospital.
It’s a completely new world. Everything was so foreign and different
I was so naive I didn’t even know what SOP stands for
20 years later and looking back, I wish I knew these things when I started out
🌻Job promotion is not decided by performance alone
🌻When choosing job, choose one with a great manager
🌻Be visible to the right people in the office
🌻No matter what you do, someone will not like you
🌻Always say yes when you are new, but then learn to say no
🌻Job security doesn’t exist so always be prepared
🌻Document everything because one day you might need them
🌻When you are assigned new task, say yes first and figure it out later
🌻Keep your boss happy, solve their problems and you will have a sweet worklife (most of the time)
🌻When you find a great company, have a great boss and colleagues, you’ll be amazed by what you can achieve
